Just a short update today. I am in the middle of a fantastic tour of Canada with the QuiQue Escamilla Band. So far we have played a festival in PEI, Vancouver Island, Hermann’s Jazz club in Victoria and awaiting our shows this weekend at Harrisson Hot Springs Festival and the Vancouver Folk Festival. It was a real treat on VI to meet the people and jam with so many musicians. I played with Cyril Neville from Meters and Neville brothers fame and was able to give Devon Allman a copy of my upcoming album which has a song written by his father Greg Allman. This is a picture onstage after our workshop jam with the Royal Southern Brotherhood and the most amazing band from Zimbabwe called Mokoomba. We are following them around this weekend playing workshops together both in Harrison Hot Springs and at the Vancouver Folk Festival.
